Seller note:

Just down from up north, the owners plans have changed and this Glacier Bay has become available. Great boat for fishing or family use. Great ride, [removed phone] stroke power, well cared for. It has it all.Glacier Bays were originally engineered to meet the needs of two diverse, but demanding markets. Alaskan/ NW sportsmen, alone and subject to severe conditions amongst enormous wilderness waterways, were looking for a tough boat. While in the South Pacific, inter-island-hopping and fishing Hawaiians also sought a rugged craft. These self-reliant individuals demanded a hull with extreme capabilities and reserves of strength. as it turned out, a wide range of customers across the country have similar requirements.Glacier Bay's high-speed, displacement hull is able to run at very high rates of speed in severe sea conditions. The sensation at the helm is very soft, and stable. However, the hull must absorb all the energy and impact of each wave, mile after mile, year after year. The integrated structure required to absorb these loads must be exceptionally strong. The grid structure in each GB includes full width athwartship bulkheads ranging in height from 7-24 inches. In addition, a multitude of ribs and stringers are combined with these bulkheads to even further enhance the strength. These components are fully encapsulated in polyester resins and bonded in with woven roving and knitted fiberglass. Sixty percent are also fiberglassed to the deck to create a fully integrated composite structure.Accelerometer testing shows Glacier Bay Cats achieve a 60 percent reduction in peak impact loads when crossing a three-foot, boat wake at 27 knots. Glacier Bay owners experience about two-thirds less impact than on a monohull. The jarring and slamming common to v-hulls is eliminated! So much for the science and engineering. The proven 2200 wears multiple personalities well. She is truly a combination fishing and family power catamaran. Glacier Bay has taken advantage of the wide platform and spacious storage capacity to deliver a family boat complete with head compartment and fish lockers for the day?s catch. The heart of any fishing boat is the center console. The console is actually well forward on the 2200, giving plenty of fishing room back aft. The helm is well laid out and there is plenty of room for electronics you may want to add. There is a raised foredeck with seating on the head enclosure to port. The console is protected by a large T-top and tinted windscreen. Forward is room for a cooler and built in backrest. Twin helm seats are on a raised box with storage below. Just aft is the bait well. There is also a cockpit bimini. The unique enclosed head area is nice for long days of fishing. Located on the port side. It is where the walkaround would be on a ?normal? center console. What it does is make for a much roomier head area with tons of storage. The starboard walk around is plenty wide and gives easy access to the foredeck. The cockpit is wide open and has two large deck hatches for fish or gear for a day at the beach.A step through transom leads to a wide swim platform with dive ladder.Power is from twin 2007 Suzuki four strokes. Economical and quiet, the twin 70s will provide plenty of power for the Glacier Bay displacement hulls. Top speed will be low to mid 30s with a cruise near 20.Keep in mind this Cat does not get on plane, she is built to run smooth and stable in all conditions. This Cat is located in Ft Myers and is ready to go. The trailer is not included, but new and used are available. The owner is willing to look at all offers, do not be shy.
